Learning Improves With Frequent Breaks

Many children cannot verbally or physically express that they need a break from learning, and instead you will notice a shift in their confidence, motivation, behaviour and/or academic outcomes. Children require movement in order to activate the nerves that allow them to self-regulate, concentrate and attend to tasks. At SOS Therapy & Learning Centre, we recommend movement based breaks away from visual and auditory stimulation (eg. stretching, taking a walk to the water fountain) following each block of learning.
